Hawai’i Farmers’ Markets

On our way back from Diamond Head, we decided to stop by the Saturday Farmer's Market at Kapiolani Community College nearby. I highly recommend it!

At the farmers' market, the freshest tropical foods and flowers are on display. It's a feast for the senses and true slice of local life on the islands. We ate fresh abalone, cooked on a hibachi in their pearlescent shells. We tasted samples of pineapple and mango, and sipped coconut water out of a freshly chopped coconut. We saw and smelled rows of vividly colored fruits and blossoms. And live music set the mood for the meandering masses. It was magical!

There are five farmers' markets scattered around Oahu. Check one out if you have the chance!
