Paradise Cove Luau

Before going to Hawaii, we decided that a fun way for us to share some of Hawaii's culture with our kids was to go to a luau. Based on its reviews and its proximity to Honolulu, we decided on the Paradise Cove Luau in Kapolei. We're so glad we did!

Paradise Cove Luau was so much fun! Right after arriving (and receiving our leis and fruity drinks), the kids got right to work learning some Hawaiian games.

And then my daughter and I headed to the arts and crafts area so she could learn how to make a lei for Lucky.

Soon after, we were gathered to watch tree climbers as they went high into palm trees and showered us with blossoms.

And then we all found a spot to view the Imu Ceremony,...

complete with an underground oven for our Hawaiian dinner.

Which we ate, by the way, as the sun came down. I didn't take any photos of the food -- we all know there are enough food photos on the internet already!

And the entertainment over dinner was spectacular!

We had such a good time! Definitely an experience to remember!

Price: $60-$147 based on age and package level, $14 for transportation from downtown Honolulu
Activities: games, arts and crafts, shower of flowers, hukilau, Imu Ceremony, performances, Hawaiian luau buffet dinner
