"If you do the research, we will get a dog." I said.
"Really?" asked my son.
"Yes," I continued, "If you find the breed that's best for our needs, then find breeders that are selling the type of dog you are interested in, and find out how to train the dog,... THEN we will get a dog."
"OKAY!!!!" squealed both kids.
Here we are, a month later, and this little girl is reserved for us.
My son decided to participate in the Wings of Karen 5k Bra Dash with his soccer club. Money raised by the run goes to help fund Breast Cancer research in the Seattle area. And part of the fun of running the Bra Dash is that participants are encouraged to wear a bra and then hang it on a line after the race.
Now, my son wasn't comfortable with the idea of wearing a bra, so he decided he'd have his mom join him on the run and wear one for him.
Yes, that would be me.

We haven't been that great about getting out camping this summer. I think soccer has taken over in this house. But we saw an open weekend and jumped on the opportunity to get a last-minute backpacking trip in this year. It's only our second time backpacking with our whole family, so we decided to take it easy and go with a fairy short hike: Barclay Lake.
