We took our kids to University of Washington's Engineering Discovery Days this weekend.
The kids operated underwater machines,
asked questions about robotic fish swimming in a pool,
built and launched bottle rockets,
used plasma to coat a nickle with gold,
built structures with marshmallows and toothpicks,
watched the 3-D printers at work,
shattered racquetballs after freezing them in liquid nitrogen,
received robot hugs,
and did many more exciting activities.
Talk about a wonderful opportunity to get the kids excited about all engineering fields! We will be back next year for sure!
What to bring: walking shoes, water bottle, a snack (you'll be there for awhile!)
