Some days, you just feel like hanging out at the beach. But if you are familiar with Washington beaches, then you know that a lot of them in the Puget Sound are rocky. So we decided to go to the first sandy beach that came to my mind: Alki Beach Park in Seattle.
We arrived early expecting the sand to be crowded with families enjoying their Summer breaks, but we were greeted with an empty beach.
We stayed for about five hours and only had two families near us the entire time, neither of which stayed long. Nothing like having a beach to yourself and watching the ferries drift by!
We'll be back, Alki Beach Park!
