Salmon Fishing in Juneau

Before I begin, I'd like to say that my kids are amazing! Why? Because they got up and out of their cozy beds and into the great outdoors at the ungodly hour of 4:30am.

Yes. 4:30am. In Alaska. In the rain.

And what would make them want to come out so early?

Alaska Dad and his Dad (Alaska Grand-dad?) took us out with all of their equipment to give us the ultimate King Salmon fishing experience.

And I'm so glad the ocean delivered!

Not that it would've been horrible. We still had that awesome view all to ourselves.

Bald Eagles flew around us like seagulls back home.

And that's how the morning went: fishing

gorgeous view,

more fishing,

and more gorgeous view. I kept thinking the water looked like molten silver.

Alaska Dad & Alaska Grand-Dad, you're the best! You helped put smiles on our faces, salmon in our bellies, and good memories in our lives. We are forever grateful!

Yum! Salmon!
