Bridal Veil Falls State Park

Along the Historic Columbia River Highway Scenic Byway sits Bridal Veil Falls State Park. It doesn't look like much from the parking area. In fact, if it wasn't for the sign, you might not even know the falls existed.

But they do. My family swam at the base of it.

The hike to the falls is a steep little trail with switchbacks. We actually hiked it twice because the kids wanted to get their towels.

Also of note: there is Poison Oak on this trail. We didn't run into any, thank goodness, but I definitely encourage you to stick to the cleared path!

This was my son's favorite waterfall along the Historic Highway. I can totally see why! Don't miss it if you have the time to take the little hike!

Fees: none, free parking
What to bring: water, a snack, a towel/bathing suit if you plan to get wet
Length of hike: 1 mile, roundtrip
