Belfair State Park

We wanted to have a campsite right next to the water, so we decided to try out Belfair State Park. It was an amazing experience!

Our kids spent most of the time jumping into the water just outside our door, and my husband and I hung back, watching from our campsite, enjoying the scene before us.

We even saw a Bald Eagle looking for dinner.

It was a bit surreal: water everywhere and our peaceful time by the campfire. I've never experienced anything quite like it!

Fees: $25-$45/night
What to bring: water shoes, firewood
Activities: clamming, fishing, kiting, swimming
